Role:
Pennie is a Sr. Vice President with Willis HRH in Hunt Valley, MD.  
Pennie serves as Client Advocate specializing in health and welfare consulting to mid size and large clients. 
 
Areas of Expertise:
          Establishment of multiple year benefit business strategies, with action steps and timing, to meet each clients’ specific objectives in the areas of financial management, competitive positioning, employee awareness and engagement and administrative effectiveness.
          Financial analysis of plans, including budget preparation for self-insured plans, underwriting, vendor selection and negotiation and reserve calculations.
          Consumer Driven and Flexible benefit design and pricing, including Health Reimbursement and Health Savings Accounts.
          Utilization analysis of health care costs with substantial experience in prescription drug carve out, health promotion (wellness), disease and case management.
          Implementation and oversight of purchasing alliances, Consortium arrangements and associations.
 
Professional
Background:
Pennie has over 32 years of experience serving the health and welfare needs of clients in the mid-atlantic and nationally and is well versed in understanding the local, regional and national delivery systems in the market. Prior to joining Willis HRH, Pennie was Vice President and Sr. Consultant with Wachovia Insurance Services (acquired Palmer & Cay in 2005), Senior Manager with KPMG's Health and Welfare group in Baltimore, MD and the head of the Baltimore benefits practice for Buck Consultants (acquired W F Corroon in 1996). Pennie also served as National Account Executive at CareFirst BCBSMD and began her career as a group underwriter with Monumental Life Insurance Company.

Pennie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Towson State University. 
Maryland Licensed Life, Health, Long Term Care, Property & Casualty
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)
Pennie serves as Vice President for the Worldwide Employee Benefits (WEB) – Baltimore Chapter and is active in the Maryland Business Group on Health (MBGH) and Howard County Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
